We are looking for Maintenance Fitter for our client who is a beef processing facility operating a large-scale, fast-paced production environment in Coominya, Queensland. This role is responsible for delivering breakdown, corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance to keep plant and equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently across the site.
- Employment Type: Casual ongoing role with a pathway to permanent employment. 482 Visa Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates who require sponsorship.
- Pay Rate:$40.20 per hour (Permanent) | $50.24 per hour (Casual, inclusive of casual loading)
- Roster: Rotating roster including weekends, overtime, and after-hours breakdown support as required.
- Location: Coominya, QLD
- Respond to mechanical breakdowns and diagnose and repair faults across production and plant equipment.
- Complete preventive, planned and shutdown maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, drive systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Assist with plant installation, commissioning, modifications, welding and fabrication work within your qualifications and competency.
- Work safely in accordance with WHS, permit-to-work, isolation/lockout-tagout and food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Strong fault-finding and mechanical troubleshooting skills across industrial plant and equipment.
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary maintenance team on rotating rosters and after-hours call-outs.
