How does the PALM scheme work for agriculture businesses specifically?
Before recruitment even begins, we carry out labour market testing to demonstrate the roles can't be filled locally. From there, we recruit in country, running candidates through information sessions, physical assessments and medical checks, so workers are fully prepped before arrival and ready to step into farm hand, harvest, machinery or quality control roles. The full process typically takes 8-12 weeks given the visa and mobilisation steps involved. You can choose short term visas of up to 9 months for a single harvest or growing season or longer term placements of up to 4 years for businesses with recurring seasonal demand. Once workers arrive, they're not left to find their feet alone, a site manager and our Cultural Welfare Officers provide ongoing, hands on support, helping them settle into farm life and the local community, so they're confident and reliable on your operation.
Can RWM source skilled international workers for agriculture, not just seasonal labour?
