We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our client, a well-established poultry processing business based in Lockwood, VIC. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring plant reliability by carrying out preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns and performing fault finding and repairs to minimise production downtime.
- Night shift rate: $60 per hour (incl of casual loading)
- Ongoing casual | 3 x 12-hour night shifts each week (midweek roster)
- Immediate start
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on processing lines and production equipment.
- Complete fitting, assembly, machining, cutting, grinding and drilling tasks.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems as required.
- Work closely with production teams, following safety standards and supporting continuous improvement.
- Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter with a recognised trade certificate.
- Skilled in mechanical fault-finding and able to work independently.
- Safety-focused with strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
