What the role involves:
- Supervising daily operations in the further processing area, including packing, portioning, and value-added products.
- Leading, mentoring, and motivating production teams to meet targets and maintain quality standards.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, WHS, and quality assurance procedures.
- Planning shifts, managing labour allocation, and resolving operational issues quickly.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining accurate production records.
- Proven supervisory experience in meat processing or similar food production environments.
- Strong knowledge of further processing operations and food safety systems (HACCP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
