Our client is seeking an experienced Parts Sales/Interpreter to support their busy workshop and maintenance operations in Wallaville. This role suits someone with strong mechanical parts knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and experience managing parts sourcing, inventory and sales in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role
Working closely with the Head of Sales and workshop team, you will interpret parts requirements, source and supply parts, manage inventory, and support both internal and external customers. You will play a key role in keeping fleet and workshop operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:
  • Interpret customer and mechanic requirements and provide technical advice
  • Source best-value parts, prepare quotes, pricing and discounts
  • Process parts orders, job cards and invoices accurately and on time
  • Check parts on arrival, allocate to jobs and arrange returns where required
  • Maintain stock levels, conduct stocktakes and keep the storeroom organised
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and build strong supplier relationships
  • Communicate parts availability and delivery schedules with the workshop
  • Collate monthly vehicle mileage, monitor condition and plan servicing schedules
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure vehicle and trailer availability
About You
  • Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter or in parts sales (automotive, heavy vehicle, agricultural or transport industries preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using parts systems, catalogues and computerised ordering systems
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
