Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, mechanical repairs, and reconditioning on trailers and prime movers.
- Diagnose and repair suspension, brake systems, axles, and basic electrical faults.
- Ensure all work complies with safety procedures and is accurately documented.
- Collaborate with the workshop team to resolve quality issues and improve efficiency.
- Participate in pre-start safety routines and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Adhere to timelines and communicate job progress with supervisors.
- Previous mechanical experience, workshop, or trade assistant background.
- Willingness to learn and undertake training in heavy vehicle and trailer maintenance.
- Team-focused attitude, initiative, and commitment to safety.
- Basic computer skills and clear communication abilities.
- A relevant trade qualification (Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic) is highly regarded but not essential.
