Salary:

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join the team! You’ll be keeping our plant running smoothly by tackling preventative maintenance and fixing any breakdowns quickly. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with a team, and making sure equipment is always in top shape, this role is for you.

This permanent role is based in Cooma, NSW, offers a rotating roster with day (6am–2pm) and afternoon (3pm–11pm) shifts and comes with a salary of $76k – $96k per year.

Responsibilities  
  • Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns
  • Record all work in MaintainX as tasks are completed
  • Demonstrate strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities to minimise plant downtime
  • Work constructively and cooperatively within a team environment
  • Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety at all times
Skills, Abilities, and Experience
  • Current Trade Certification (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade)
  • Highly developed fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand production processes and requirements
  • Commitment to complying with company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
  • Reliable and proven work history
  • Ability to work as part of a rotating roster, including weekend maintenance work
  • Experience in a food processing environment is highly regarded
Other Information
  • Pre-employment screening, including medical and/or drug test plus police check, may be required for the successful candidate
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday day and/or afternoon
  • Out-of-hours work may be required on a needs basis
