Join a government department responsible for maintaining a critical fleet of light, medium and heavy vehicles. We’re seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for an immediate start at their Yatala workshop. This is a 3-month contract with the potential for extension, supporting essential vehicle maintenance for emergency and service operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cab chassis maintenance on light to heavy vehicles
- Service and repair small engines, generators, and pumps
- Diagnose and repair faults related to hydraulics and pneumatic systems
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and complete accurate documentation
- Collaborate with other technicians to meet service standards
- Trade qualification in motor mechanics (light or heavy vehicle stream)
- Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance
- Exposure to pumps, small engine repairs, hydraulics and pneumatics (desired)
- MR licence (desired)
- 3-month role with the opportunity to go permanent
