We are hiring a Hatchery Driver for our client in Nhill, Victoria. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transport of hatchery-related materials between the hatchery, grower farms, and processing facilities.
Driving: ~200 km/day, typically 3 days/week; remaining days assisting in the hatchery.
Roster: Monday-Friday, 38hrs per week 6:00 am-3:00 pm (flexible depending on daily requirements). Weekend work is needed.
Employment: Permanent, $65-70K + super per year (possible overtime for weekend shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport ducklings/eggs, maintaining animal welfare and biosecurity standards
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Maintain clear and professional communication with all teams
- Conduct vehicle checks and keep vehicles/equipment clean
- Handle live birds carefully and report any issues
- Comply with road laws and safety procedures
- MR or HR driver's licence
- Experience in livestock/agricultural transport (preferred)
- Physically fit and reliable
- Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and professional
- Flexible for early starts/weekends
- Stable permanent work
- Supportive team environment.
