Our client is a progressive rural business based in Young, NSW. They specialise in assembling pre-fabricated silos and grain handling equipment across New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland. With steady growth, they are now seeking two practical, hands-on Field Technicians to join their team.
The Role
This is a hands-on position working on farms and rural sites. You'll assemble, maintain, and repair grain handling equipment while representing our client on-site.
Based in Young, NSW - Travel Across NSW, VIC & QLD
Permanent | Full-Time | $30-$40/hr + Super (experience dependent)
Work hours:
When travelling: 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (No out of pocket expenses)
In the Young yard: 7.30am - 4pm, Monday to Thursday, and an early 1pm Friday finish
Key Responsibilities
- Welding and fabrication (second class welder level)
- Assembly/disassembly of agricultural equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing faults
- Interpreting fabrication drawings and manuals
- Communicating with clients on-site
- Travelling to job sites and working away during the week
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
- Confident using welders, hand tools, and fabrication equipment
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Great communication skills and client service focus
- Licences/Tickets: White Card, Forklift Licence, Driver's Licence
- Background in motor mechanics, fabrication, or similar trade is highly regarded
- Flexibility to travel and work away from home during the week
