AO3 Admin Support | Natural Resource Support Officer

About the Role:
We are hiring for administration role within a government organisation. The position provides essential administrative support to the Natural Resource Assessment Unit, focusing on case processing, procurement, and data management.
Location: Toowoomba or Dalby, QLD
Hourly Rate:$40 per hour (excluding casual loading)
Contract Duration: 8 weeks (01 August - 30 September 2025), with possible extension
Hours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Archive hard copy files for on-site storage in line with records standards
  • Provide administrative support including case management and basic procurement tasks
  • Handle enquiries and provide advice to internal and external clients regarding procedures and services
  • Accurately process data and manage files using various systems
  • Participate constructively within a dispersed regional team to meet departmental objectives
  • Adhere to legislation, standards, policies and procedures with attention to detail
  • Fulfil workplace health and safety responsibilities and maintain high professional standards
Required Skills and Attributes:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Able to work in a virtual team while situated within a physical team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Experience with departmental databases such as eLVAS is highly regarded
Other Requirements:
  • Current driver's licence (Travel between Toowoomba and Dalby offices is required)
  • Australian valid work rights
